Roisin makes Alex eat the pies

Like Tim, Roisin identifies that the task only forbids her from breaching the pies herself.

However, rather than just asking Alex to breach the pies for her, she sets herself the obstacle of asking him to taste them while she looks away, so that she can determine their contents through his reaction alone.

Using this method, she is able to correctly determine that one of the pies contains steak.

As Alex attempts to pick the marble pie up to take a bite, the bottom drops out, making quite a noise as the marbles fall into the pie tray.

However, she appears to miss the sound altogether.

To determine the contents, she asks Alex to communicate to her through his facial expression how he would feel if asked to eat the whole pie.

Based on his displeased expression, she jumps to the conclusion that the pie contains kidneys.

Alex takes a reluctant bite from the toothpaste pie, leaving creamy white filling around his mouth, based on which Roisin guesses that it must be a ‘milk pie’.

Back in the studio, Josh and Romesh are outraged that Roisin and Josh had breached the pies indirectly with Alex’s assistance, but Greg sees nothing wrong with their approach, in line with the wording of the task.

It appears that, despite sabotaging herself through her own made-up rules, Roisin managed to place second in this task simply because both Josh and Romesh had accidentally breached their pies.
