Biography

David Kai Lennart Sundin (born on 23 May 1976) is a Swedish television presenter, comedian, and writer.

He has worked as an online humour writer, with Killinggängets Spermaharen (2001–2002) and 1000 Apor (2008–2009). He ran the humor blog Fantasinyheter and, in 2012, published the book Fantasinyheter (2001–2012), with a foreword by Henrik Schyffert.

He was a feature producer for Filip and Fredrik in Öppna dagar in 2003 and invented the game ‘Bra eller anus’, which also became a feature in High Chaparall (2003-2008).

He has had a variety of roles in the TV world, as a content producer for Sen kväll med Luuk and Roast på Berns, as a screenwriter for Melodifestivalen and Welcome to Sweden, and as a host for Idrottsgalan, Kristallen, Melodifestivalen, and Bäst i test.

He is also the author of the recurring interview feature Döskalle & Mästerligt in the Swedish magazine Nöjesguiden.

In 2013 he started with standup and has performed at RAW, Norra Brunn, and Stockholm Comedy Club.

In 2014 he came in second place in the Swedish Pun Championships.

He was nominated in the category Best Male Actor at Kristallen 2015 for his contributions to the comedy programme Not OK.

Since 2017, he and Babben Larsson have been presenters for the entertainment programme Bäst i test on SVT.

He made his feature film debut in 2020 in the role of Dynamit-Harry in Tomas Alfredson’s film Se upp för Jönssonligan. He was the host of Melodifestivalen 2020 together with Lina Hedlund and Linnea Henriksson, and also appeared as Sommarskuggan in SVT’s Sommarlov 2020. Also in 2020, he was the host of the popular science programme Framtiden runt hörneton on SVT, together with Emma Frans.

His children’s book debut, Boken som inte ville bli läst, was released in September 2020 and became a best-selling children’s and youth book which won the Adlibris Prize 2020.

He is the host of the 80 Väldigt Goda Mackor Podcast, together with Albin Olsson. The podcast is based on Lasse Kronér’s book 80 Väldigt goda mackor (2003) which, despite the name, contains recipes for 79 sandwiches. He was also a regular participant in the podcast Alla mina kamrater, and producer of the radio programme and podcast Fantasipanelen.
