Direktor Svemira

Direktor Svemira was the Croatian version of Taskmaster, and began airing on RTL Croatia in November 2021 with its first series of ten episodes. The show was hosted by Taskmaster Ivan Saric and his assistant Luka Petrusic.

Based on an Avalon press release, it was originally anticipated that season 2 of Direktor Svemira would begin airing in late 2022. However, given that we are already in late 2023 and there has been no further publicity for the season, it is now assumed that this season has been axed by RTL, despite the fact that production was already completed about a year ago.

• There have not yet been any tied episodes in this version of the show, so it is not known if or how ties might be settled.

Other notes

• In November 2021 the Croatian comedian Ivan Saric posted a story on his Instagram account, showing what appeared to be the stage production of a Taskmaster show, featuring the hashtag '#soon'.
• A source who claimed to have a connection to one of the contestants shared in a Reddit thread that: Ivan would be serving in the Taskmaster role for the show, which would be named Direktor Svemira (roughly translating as 'Director of the Universe'); it was being produced by - and would air on - RTL, a Croatian free-to-air TV network; and the show may begin airing as early as late November/early December.
• On 12 November 2021 RTL put an an official press release, confirming that the Taskmaster would be Ivan Saric and his assistant would be the actor Luka Petrusic.
• The same day, Ivan published several photos of himself and his co-host on his Instagram account.
• On 14 November Luka published a photo of the studio set to his Instagram account.
• On 15 November RTL disclosed in a new press release that the show would air on Wednesday and Thursday evenings (i.e. two episodes per week), starting on 24 November.
