Taskmaster AU is the Australian adaptation of the Taskmaster format, commissioned by Paramount, and produced by Avalon Television in partnership with Kevin & Co (the production company for Taskmaster NZ) for Network 10.

The show is hosted by Tom Gleeson (as the Taskmaster) and Tom Cashman (as his assistant).

The first season of the show, consisting of 10 episodes, began airing in February 2023.

Other notes

  • On 6 October 2022 it was officially announced by Avalon and the Australian TV channel Channel 10 (after several months of online rumours) that an Australian version of Taskmaster was in production, and would begin airing in 2023.
  • Chief task writer for Taskmaster NZ, Sam Smith, also shared that he had been involved in writing tasks for the new version of the show, and also confirmed that the show was being filmed in New Zealand.
