Junior Taskmaster UK

A version of the Taskmaster UK format, aimed at and featuring children aged between 9 and 11, has been commissioned by Channel 4.

It has been announced that the show will be hosted by Rose Matafeo (as the Taskmaster), and Mike Wozniak (as her assistant).

It appears that the show will be structured as a tournament, with the first five episodes of each series featuring five new contestants, who will compete to qualify for the semi-finals, and then a grand final.

It is understood that the filmed tasks will take place at a different location to the Taskmaster house from the original show.

• On 15 March 2023, it was reported that Channel 4 had commissioned a season of Junior Taskmaster, in addition to six further seasons of the original Taskmaster UK show.
• On 18 April 2023, SRO Audiences opened up applications for tickets to attend two test-run studio filming sessions for the show at Pinewood Studios on 16 May 2023.
• On 16 May 2023, as studio filming for the test-runs of the show began at Pinewood Studios, it was announced that the hosts of the show would be Rose Matafeo and Mike Wozniak.
• On 25 May 2023, the application process for contestants for the first series of Junior Taskmaster opened up via CastItReach.
