The task brief is presented as a missing cat poster, taped to the door of the dome. The brief for the task is as follows:
Missing.
Rescue the cat.
The cat must come out of the top hole.
Your head may not enter the dome.
The door must remain closed.
Fastest wins.
Your time starts now.
Goes by the name of Patatas.
Task notes
- The floor of the dome is completely covered with a variety of plush toy animals, including the cat Patatas, who has a metal hook attached to her, to aid in her removal.
- The (zip-in) door of the dome is closed, but several hexagonal panels have been removed to provide access, including the one at the very top, through which Patatas must be removed.
- Leaning against the dome, there is a long pole covered in pipe lagging, with a boxing glove on the end.
- If the contestants think to remove the boxing glove and the extra pipe-lagging on the other end, they discover that the pole has a trigger-activated grabbing claw.
- This task has obvious similarities to the ‘Rescue Patatas from the tree‘ task, but the set-up and rules are significantly different, so it is categorised here as original.
