Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Anders decides to throw three darts. His first throw lands short of the target, the second scores 2 points, and the third hits the target outside of the numbers – a total score of 2. Anders earns third place.
- Neel decides to throw 60 darts. Her throws consistently fall short of the target. While Neel manages to throw all 60 darts in the allotted time, she never hits the target – a total score of 0. In the studio, Lasse asks why, if Neel is so bad at throwing (which she had declared while reading the task), she would choose to throw 60 darts instead of just one or three. Neel does not quite remember, but believes she thought that no matter what, she wasn’t going to hit the target, and saw the 10m option as the least embarrassing of the three distances to miss shots from. Neel ties for last place.
- Annika declares that she can only play darts when she’s drunk. She sends Mark into the house to make them both gin and tonics. They spend the majority of Annika’s time just sitting on the grass and drinking. Near the end of her time, Annika decides to throw three darts. Her first throw lands in the double 18 space, her second throw scores 4 points, and she misses her third throw – a total score of 40. She then sits back down with Mark to drink some more. Annika earns second place.
- Mahamad chooses to throw 60 darts. He quickly realises that the task does not forbid building a new 10m distance, as long as the barrier rule is followed. Mahamad moves the barrier rope to the balcony of the Stormester house, and tosses a tape measure to Mark; with Mark’s help, Mahamad gets the target placed on the ground, 10m from where he has moved the rope. This places the target at a diagonal distance from the house, which eventually aids Mahamad when it comes to aiming his throws; presumably, he also measured the distance were he to simply drop the darts straight down and it was not long enough. Mahamad then proceeds to successfully land most of his throws – a total score of 90. Mahamad wins the task.
- Jakob chooses to throw 60 darts. He is fairly consistent at throwing with enough power, but takes a while before he’s able to actually hit the dartboard. The few times he does manage to hit the dartboard, it’s outside of the scoring areas – a total of 0 points. In the studio, Jakob is (jokingly) angry at Lasse and Mark for showing his attempt alongside Mahamad’s instead of alongside Neel’s (as she also did very poorly). Jakob ties for last place.
