  Applications are now open for tickets to attend the studio filming sessions for the eighth season of Suurmestari. Neither the cast nor air dates have been revealed, but it's likely to air in early 2027.
• 14/08/2026: Taskmaster livestream fundraiser announced for Great Ormond Street Hospital
  On the 5th of September, there will be a Taskmaster livestream fundraiser in aid of GOSH, featuring Alex Horne and Jake Bhardwaj as the hosts, and Ayamé, BambinoBecky, Hayley Morris, Imogen Andrews, MatPat, Rob Colfer, Stephen Tries, Stephanie Patrick, The Squid, and TommyInnit as contestants.
• 12/08/2026: Cast for Kongen Befaler season 13 confirmed
  The contestants for the thirteenth season of Norway's version of Taskmaster have been confirmed as Aslak Maurstad, Iben Akerlie, Johan Golden, Robert Stoltenberg, and Ulrikke Falch. The air dates have not yet been revealed, but based on previous years it is likely to begin airing in September 2026.
• 11/08/2026: New air date for Le Maître du Jeu season 5
  Although it was previously reported that season 5 of the Quebecois version of Taskmaster would begin airing from the 20th of September 2026, it has now been announced that the season will instead begin on the 10th of September.
• 08/08/2026: Air date and trailer released for Taskmaster Netherlands season 1
  RTL posted a trailer for the first season of the Dutch adaptation of Taskmaster, and announced that the show would begin airing on the 29th of August 2026.
• 21/07/2026: Taskmaster Poland season 1 air date announced
  A newly-released promotional video for the first season of Taskmaster Poland reveals that the episodes will start airing on Monday evenings from the 31st of August 2026.
• 17/07/2026: Cast of Kongen Befaler season 13 revealed
  Although there hasn't yet been an official cast announcement, a promo aired on TV Norge revealed that the contestants for season 13 will be Aslak Maurstad, Iben Akerlie, Johan Golden, Robert Stoltenberg, and Ulrikke Falch. The air dates have not yet been revealed.
• 16/07/2026: Surprise announcement that the long-shelved second season of Direktor Svemira will finally air!
  This second season of the Croatian version of Taskmaster was originally filmed in 2022, then shelved indefinitely following a change in leadership at RTL. It's now been announced that it will start airing on the 22nd of July. The contestants have been confirmed as Borko Perić, Borna Kotromanić, Joža Vrban, Srđan Olman, and Vlatka Mifka.
• 26/06/2026: Cast of Taskmaster Poland season 1 revealed
  Over the past few weeks, the contestants for the first season of Taskmaster Poland have been revealed one-by-one, through a series of videos posted to social media. The complete cast has now been revealed as Kazik Mazur, Rafał Rutkowski, Wiolka Walaszczyk, Żabson, and Zofia Zborowska-Wrona.
• 26/06/2026: Studio filming dates announced for Kongen Befaler season 14
  Tickets are now on sale to attend the studio filming sessions for season 14 of Kongen Befaler at Drammen's Theatre between the 5th and 19th of October 2026.
• 13/06/2026: Suurmestari Comeback special announced
  A Comeback special featuring previous contestants is scheduled to air, beginning in October 2026. The returning contestants have not yet been revealed.
• 03/06/2026: Cast and air dates revealed for Le Maître du Jeu season 5, plus launch announcement for Le Maître du Jeu Junior
  Season 5 of Le Maître du Jeu, featuring contestants Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Patrice Bélanger, Mathieu Dufour, Pascal Cameron, and Sinem Kara, will start airing from the 20th of September 2026. The first season of Le Maître du Jeu Junior, featuring Patrice Bélanger in the Taskmaster role but Antoine Vézina reprising his assistant role, will air in December 2026. This show will have eight episodes and feature eight contestants between the ages of 9 and 12, most of whom have already appeared on TV.
