Virginie gets away with breaking the rules

Virginie immediately panics after reading the task brief, asking Antoine if there is anyone around to teach the contestants how to use a lasso before the task starts.

Virginie opts to spin the lasso above her head in the classic move. After a few missed throws with this technique, the inertia of one of her throws forces her to step over the line to remain upright, something she immediately realises and quickly rectifies, muttering that she doesn’t understand how lassos work.

Slowly but surely, however, Virginie’s throws become more and more effective, and she even comes close to lassoing Antoine a few times before finally succeeding.

Virginie lassos Antoine in 6 minutes and 18 seconds, and despite the fact that she broke the rules (which is never actually brought up in the studio), she wins the task.
