Stevie misunderstands the name-calling rule

Stevie immediately moves to the side of the plinth and then bends sideways, with one leg out to the side as a counterbalance, to collect some raisins with her mouth. Having done so, she shuffles forwards, then kneels down, before shuffling to the side and then lying down sideways (removing her hands from behind her back in the process).

She drops the raisins into her glass while lying down, but doesn’t appear to call out anyone’s name first. She then tries to sit back up, before propping herself up on her hands and dragging herself across the stage, with a straight waist, back to the plinth.

She manages to stand up (with a certain amount of waist bending, and her arms still not behind her back) just as Rosie calls her name, but instead of repeating her own name, she repeats Rosie’s.

Alex therefore empties Stevie’s wine glass, sending her back to square one, as she briefly puts her hands behind her back and tips sideways to collect another mouthful of raisins from her plate.

Stevie is apparently still confused about the name-calling rule, though, as she is subsequently heard shouting her own name through a mouthful of raisins. She returns to her glass, drops once again to lie on her side on the stage, and spits a mouthful of raisins at her glass without naming anyone.

When Mathew subsequently calls out her name, she successfully repeats it, indicating that she now understands what’s going on. She then repeats her method one more time, calling out Rosie’s name.

Stevie ends up with 70 raisins in her glass, tying with Rosie, so they share second place and earn 4 points each. At no point does she appear to be called out for the fact that her hands are rarely behind her back.
