Ernie and Bert create the hottest club in the wrong location

Before reading the task brief, Concetta looks at the playing card model and asks Mel what she thinks the task might be. Mel suggests that it could be “Play a round of strip poker with Tom. Try not to vomit in a bucket. Least vomit wins.”

Having read the task brief, Mel says to Concetta that she is young and therefore knows what’s in clubs. When she asks what makes them ‘hot’, Concetta suggests “stripper poles”. Mel is then seen returning to the study holding a hotplate, and suggesting that it could be used by the DJ. Concetta then points to a lava lamp and says “That’s hot. That stays.”

When Tom Cashman enters the study to look for the team’s hot club, he finds a note saying ‘Come on in’ and ‘Welcome to the Red Whistle’, but Mel and Concetta are nowhere to be found. Tom steps over the red rope and then finds another note that reads ‘It’s a real sausage fest in here’. On the floor, he finds some vomit and another note saying ‘Watch the vomit’. He then finds yet another note that reads ‘You looking for the hottest club in town? You’re not gonna find it that easily, mate. Only a truly cool person can find the hottest club on their own.’

Tom leaves the study to look for the club elsewhere on the property, checking the caravan before walking through the woods to the dock. He finds Concetta, wearing a white fur around her shoulders, standing by a red rope on the dock. Mel can be seen behind her in the rowboat on the lake. Concetta says “Hi, welcome to Shark Eyes”, and then asks Tom if he is on the list. After Tom says he hopes so, and gives her his full name, Concetta states that he’s not on the list. She also claims that the club is at capacity, as she gestures to Mel in the rowboat.

Tom asks Concetta if the rowboat is the hottest club in town, and she says “That’s our resident DJ.” Tom asks her if the club’s capacity is just the DJ, and then questions why they even have a club with a capacity of one. Concetta then Tom that he also doesn’t meet the dress code. When he asks what the dress code is, Concetta says “Anything but suits”. She also claims that the boat doesn’t dock again for another 8 hours. When Tom asks if the DJ is doing an 8-hour set, and also whether the music is just in Mel’s headphones, Concetta claims that it’s a silent disco.

After Mel then shouts from her boat for Concetta to get rid of Tom, Concetta tells him that he is “stinking the vibe” and tells him to leave. As Tom begins to walk away backwards, Concetta asks him what he is doing and then tells him to turn around and just walk forwards.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson says he thought it was very good and liked that they’d set up a terrible nightclub and that Tom Cashman then had to find the cool one. However, Rhys then points out that the task brief had asked them to transform the study into the hottest club in town, so the actual club under consideration should be the Red Whistle. Tom Cashman confirms that Shark Eyes is not in contention, since it wasn’t in the study. He also points out that there was a sign in the Red Whistle which confirmed that it was definitely not the hottest club in town.

Mel and Concetta earns 2 points each.
