Hans becomes part of his art

Hans immediately runs outside. Mark attempts to guide him towards the shed, informing him that it has a lot of things inside of it that he could use to build, but Hans ignores him, instead starting to pull out large items that are stored behind it, like a wheelbarrow.

He quickly enlists Mark to help with the grunt work, and starts building a large Knæk Cancer flower in the garden – in the middle of Annika Akjær’s circle, which is still present in the grass. His chosen items include two wheelbarrows, a stepladder, a wheeled toboggan (which had previously been used to ferry red cabbage), a shovel, a pair of skis, a bag of golf clubs, a long plank of wood, and an electric mobility scooter, newly returned by Heino Hansen. In the middle of all of these objects, he places an oil drum.

To fill the final empty space, Hans debates using a broom, before deciding that it doesn’t fit the “story” of his other chosen objects, and discarding it. With his construction nearly complete, Hans looks over it in concern, admitting to Mark that he is worried that it is too big, before attempting to assuage himself with the thought that no-one would make a small flower.

After some minor adjustments to his creation, Hans lays down in the final empty petal space.

As the maker of what is ultimately the largest Knæk Cancer flower, Hans earns joint second place, and 2 points.
