Kathrine comes out of retirement
Kathrine’s film is shot like a movie trailer, with dramatic music, and quick-cut shots quickly appearing and fading to black, as she narrates over slow-motion footage of herself getting dressed and putting on make-up.
Notably, Kathrine’s makeup and wardrobe choices are quite glittery and 1980s-inspired.
Narrator Kathrine reveals that she has been hiding a talent for 15 years, and that two decades ago she’d “conquered the world”, winning multiple national and world championships.
She is, however, finally ready to come out of retirement and perform once again, as she cannot ignore the call of Stormester and – by association – the entirety of Denmark.
And thus, Kathrine – who is purportedly the World’s Best Disco Dancer – starts to dance once again.
She bends forward and begins pseudo-twerking awkwardly and repetitively, for quite some time.
Eventually, Mark leans down to her level and asks if she’s finished.
An out-of-breath Kathrine agrees that she is.
For promising the World’s Best Disco Dancer, but producing only what Lasse describes as “a cat trying to get rid of a hairball”, he awards Kathrine first place.
