Jesper relies on semantics

The footage of Jesper’s attempt is shown in combination with Petra’s, and highlights the differences between the two: while Petra (a former bartender) carefully measures out the ingredients of her cocktail, Jesper largely operates on instinct.

After shaking his cocktail, Jesper takes quite a large swig of it for himself, before asking Mark to hold out his glass.

Jesper then approaches Mark within the square, making sure to point out that he will not be ‘walking’ (the word ‘gå’, used in the task brief to prohibit the contestants from entering the square means both ‘enter/go’, but can also be interpreted as ‘walk’).

Jesper declares that he will instead ‘run’ to Mark, to deliver the cocktail.

He jogs into the square and grabs Mark’s glass, then continues running around within the square, while pouring the cocktail and delivering it to Mark.

He even jogs back to the bar, to retrieve a drinking straw, and deliver that to Mark’s glass.

While Mark drinks the cocktail, Jesper hums El Jarabe Tapatio (‘The Mexican Hat Dance’).

Lasse accepts Jesper’s interpretation of the task wording, and awards him first place.
