Eat the chocolate item (or don’t)
- In this task, each contestant is provided with a chocolate item (e.g. a chocolate bunny or duck), and is instructed to either eat it or not.
- The outcome of the task depends on how many of the contestants choose to eat the item versus not eat it.
- When assigned as a filmed task, the game is about predicting what the other contestants might do.
- When assigned as a live task, additional elements of strategy and deception come into play.
Adaptations
In this live version of the task, the contestants have just two minutes to decide whether to eat or not eat a golden chocolate duck, and some of the rules are slightly different. The fact that all the contestants are present together on stage – although separated by screens – means that they can openly communicate with, strategise with, and deceive one another. There’s also no point deduction for contestants who are correctly predicted by others not to eat their duck.
