Ivan Saric
Biography
Ivan Saric has been involved in stand-up comedy since 2006, when he gained a lot of mileage, traveling to Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also to England.
He is a member of the new wave of stand-up comedians, and he delights with a version of the British humor of Eddie Izzard and Monty Python, incorporated into the everyday events of people living in Croatia, especially Dalmatia and around it.
His style is a mixture of observational and abstract humor applicable to a wide range of topics, from male-female relations, life in the Balkans, life in Dalmatia, political and regional themes to a sarcastic view of himself.
His transformation from a young kid in love with the world of informatics to an equally young man who will entertain the people in this area and beyond with his performances began in 2004 when he received a scratched DVD from a friend with a stand-up performance by Robin Williams.
Today, it would be worth asking his friend how he sniffed out the talent of the then 24-year-old Saric. After that, Ivan began to write lyrics for his performances, the amount of which today exceeds the number of over 1500 performances.
Ivan performs monastic authorial performances lasting from an hour and a half to two hours. He doesn't use any external stage or audio effects - only he and the microphone are on stage.
Thus, in 2016, he celebrated his 10 years of career, selling out the great Lisinski Hall. And twice. At that time, 3,500 people watched it in those two days.
As a television presenter, the audience had the opportunity to meet him 8 years ago when he started on MTV Adria, then switched to RTL television, after which he is a frequent guest on various successful projects on Croatian television and one of them is "Your face sounds familiar" on Nova TV.
What the general public may not be so familiar with is Ivan's work in the marketing world. Namely, Ivan has been the author and co-author of various marketing and advertising works for the last 5 years. Many agencies and clients have recognized in him an excellent creative who perfectly recognizes the wishes of their clients and new generations of consumers. His creative directorate for the video project Beck'speriment was named one of the best digital campaigns according to the portal Business Insider 2015, he was also in the team that because the radio project Sensation won the final SoMoBorac 2016, and this year at the Weekend Media Festival Ivan rad "Croatia Third" entered the finals of SoMoBorac in the Viral Blockbuster category.
