Biography

Rita Bento de Almeida de Meneses Salema (born 16 November 1966), better known as Rita Salema, is a Portuguese actor.

She appeared as 'Constança Meireles' in Morangos com Açúcar, and also appeared in comedy series with João Baião and Marina Mota.

She also appeared in several theatre productions with actors such as Nicolau Breyner and Patrícia Tavares.

She is the director of a day care center, where she teaches acting, and she has also done advertising work.

Outside of her acting career, she is one of the representatives of the 'Vamos ajudar Portugal' ['Let's Help Portugal'] campaign and, in April 2019, announced that she would run as a candidate of the Aliança political party in the European elections of the same year.
