Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- After standing around for a bit, Linda gets a garden hose. When she discovers the hose is too short, she elongates it by using a pipe, holding it to direct the water into the tub. When the water is turned on, Linda puts Mark to work, holding the hose where the water is coming from. Linda moves 6.75 litres of water and comes third.
- Tobias retrieves a garden hose from the shed. When he discovers the hose is too short, he borrows one from one of the neighbouring houses. Tobias attaches the hose to the spigot coming out of the side of the box. When the water is turned on, Tobias quickly pulls the hose from the spigot and holds it over the hole where the water is coming from, holding the hose in place while the tub fills. Tobias moves 13 litres of water and wins the task.
- Sofie attaches a garbage bag to the spigot coming out of the side of the box. When the water is turned on, she is easily able to remove the bag to place it where the water actually comes from. The bag fills, and Sofie drags it to the tub and dumps it in. Sofie moves 10.6 litres of water and comes second.
- Simon initially feels that there is something tricky about the task, but does not figure out what it is before the water starts – he seems convinced that there’s another box somewhere, and that it is the box being referred to in the task. Still, Simon gathers buckets and a barrel around the box’s spigot in order to catch water. When the water turns on, Simon continually screams at Mark while he frantically tries to fill buckets, only managing to soak himself. Simon climbs into the tub and squeezes out his shirt, then adds what little water he managed to gather into the tub. Simon moves 0.8 litres of water, and comes last.
- Jonas actually discovers the trick to the box, and uses his preparation time to tape a curved pipe to where the water will eventually come out. The problem is that the pipe length is too small before it curves, so when combined with the water pressure, most of the water just flows backwards out of the pipe instead of into the bucket Jonas is holding to collect the water. Jonas moves 5.35 litres and comes fourth.
