Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Amir detaches one end of the hammock from the frame, and drags the farmer onto the fabric. He then tries and fails to directly reattach the hammock to its frame, before using his own tie to connect the two parts together. He completes the task in 14 minutes, but earns third place because he effectively got the farmer into a functional hammock.
  • Solveig removes the hammock from its frame, and rolls the farmer onto the fabric. She struggles for a while to try and reconnect the hammock to its frame before giving up and claiming that the farmer is in the hammock, even if it’s not on the frame. Although she completes the task in 5 minutes and 36 seconds, it is not completely accepted that the farmer is in the hammock, so she ends up in last place.
  • Steinar attempts to directly lift the farmer up and into the hammock, but fails a few times due to not being able to balance his weight correctly, leading him to fall back out. He tries removing one end of the hammock and putting the farmer on it that way, before eventually deciding to move the entire hammock to a lower piece of adjacent ground, so the fabric part is level with the wooden decking of the pool. He is them more easily able to roll the farmer into the hammock from the decking. He completes the task in 4 minutes 25 seconds, and earns second place.
  • Ida removes the hammock from the frame, and moves it away entirely, before dragging the farmer onto the fabric. She doesn’t think she needs to reattach the hammock to the frame, and so leaves without spending any more time on it. It is not completely accepted that the farmer is in the hammock, so she earns fourth place, despite completing the task in 1 minute and 2 seconds.
  • Einar immediately picks up the 70kg farmer and places him directly into the hammock, winning the task.
