Attempts
Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!
- Dara writes a play called 'Every Time I Look Up I Think Of You', about a man going to Mars, talking to his wife on the ground team, and realising that she has sabotaged his navigation system as revenge for something he did in their marriage. He earns second place for his play, which Greg says is slightly overwritten.
- Fern writes a play called 'Meaning', about a woman bumping her head, causing her to be able to hear her cat talking to her about its needs. She receives joint first place for her play.
- John writes a play called 'Door(s)' about a man in a room, receiving phone calls about the arrival and then departure of a second, unseen person. He receives joint first place for his play.
- Munya creates a piece of performance art called 'The Power of Silence', in which the performer sits in a room with ping pong balls over their eyes, whilst listening to white noise. He receives last place for his 'play'.
- Sarah writes a play called 'The Not Cat Café', about a woman visiting a cat café, and reminiscing about the cat she used to look after for her nan. She receives joint first place for her play.
