Task brief

The task brief is laid on top of a fishbowl full of water, set on a table at the bottom of the steps leading into the Suurmestari mansion. The brief for the task is as follows:

Throw water as far away as possible.

Best attempt wins.

You have 10 minutes.

Your time starts now.

Task notes

  • A slight alteration to the task brief wording, resulting from its translation from the English ‘Throw water as far as possible’ to the Finnish ‘Heitä vettä mahdollisimman kauaksi’ (‘Throw water as far away as possible’) unintentionally makes the objective of the task ambiguous, when it should not be. The intent is for the contestants to throw water as far away from themselves as they can, but several interpret the wording to mean they should throw the water as far away from the location where they received the task as possible. If written unambiguously, that interpretation of the task would be ‘Heitä vettä mahdollisimman kaukaa’ (‘Throw water as far away from here as possible’).
