Josh fishes for compliments

Josh arrives at the scene of the task wearing different make-up to his usual look. When Tom Cashman questions him about this, Josh says it’s because he’s tired, and he thinks it will make it still seem like they’re having fun.

Having read the task brief, he states that he doesn’t want to get his clothes dirty by getting down on the ground, because the person who cleans the clothes had also done his make-up.

When Tom comments that he thinks the make-up looks nice, Josh asks him to say that he looks pretty. When Tom complies, Josh keeps asking him to say it over and over again, providing direction by asking him to say it “more enamoured”, asking him to say it while presenting Josh with flowers, and then getting him to say “You look prettier than Tom Ballard” (Josh’s ex, from when he was 19).

Josh also makes Tom say that he looks skinny a couple of times, before making him say that he specifically looks skinnier than Tom Ballard.

Tom Gleeson observes that Josh’s neediness in the task wasn’t really dissimilar to his usual vibe, so he awards Josh just 1 point.
