Wil’s night sky projector

Having taken on board the fact that Tom Gleeson loves camping, Wil starts out by claiming that he also loves camping, and that he’s definitely not just changing his approach from what he was going to do.

Wil has brought in a device which projects an image of the night sky onto the ceiling, and a key to his own house. His original argument was presumably going to be that you can see the night sky and also stay indoors without having to go outside.

However, in light of Tom’s professed love of camping, Wil reframes his prize submission by arguing that you can’t always get out into the bush, so his device allows you to project an image of the night sky onto a ceiling instead. He explains the inclusion of his own house keys by claiming that he’d brought them so that Tom (who is presumably more wealthy than Wil) could still feel like he was “slumming it” in a campsite.

Wil earns 2 points.
