Babatunde’s Air Force 1 trainers

Babatunde brings in a pair of white Nike Air Force 1 trainers.

He insists to Greg that when he comes to “the ends”, he should wear these shoes. When Greg questions what he means by “the ends”, Babatunde just tells him to watch the TV show Top Boy. When Greg observes that that’s a lot of work for him to do, to figure out whether he needs to say that the shoes are bad-ass, Babatunde insists that “Everyone's gonna say it for you”.

Babatunde then advises Greg that wearing the shoes alone is not sufficient, and that he should also laugh in a smooth way. When Greg questions in what situations he’s going to do this, Babatunde states that he’s just trying to “inject some youth” into him, suggesting that Greg has recently turned 75. Greg expresses his doubts that putting on a pair of white trainers and laughing smoothly is going to make him feel any more youthful.

Ultimately, Greg can’t decide whether Emma’s or Jack’s prize submissions are the worst, so he decides to award them both 2 points. However, after Alex asks whether Babatunde’s prize is of a similar quality, Greg agrees that he’s correct, so Babatunde also receives 2 points.
