Emma becomes someone who could kill
As Alex heads into the maze, Emma points out to him that he’s got a carrot on his back.
She enters the maze laughing in a very low-key manner, and soon spots one of the bell-ringing men, but moves too slowly to keep up with him. Upon another encounter, she realises that the man she is seeing is not Alex, and calls out to let Alex know that he has a doppelganger.
She eventually realises that the two men are ringing two different bells, and then that they are swapping their bells to confuse her (for which she calls them “bastards”).
As time goes on, she becomes audibly more frustrated, and her laugh becomes more menacing.
She eventually catches up with the real Alex and takes a bite of his carrot. After she expresses how infuriating the task was, and mentions “that other bloke”, Alex pretends not to know who she’s talking about, prompting her to state “No. Ugh. I’m not doing that.”
In the studio, Greg tells Emma that he wishes more people would shut Alex down like she had at the end of her attempt. He also notes how she’d turned from someone doing a “comedy laugh”, to “someone who could kill”.
Alex reveals that even though Emma had walked about the same distance as Jack and Rosie, she’d somehow taken over 8 minutes to bite his carrot. He claims that he could have kept the task going for hours, because she simply wasn’t moving fast enough to catch him.
Emma ultimately comes last and earns just 1 point.
