Martin regrets not using the ramekin
Martin first looks inside the second bucket from the left, and finds the ice ramekin within, which he decides does not look like “an efficient transportation method”.
After a minute has passed, Martin looks inside the fourth bin from the left and finds the knitted gloves, which he decides to use. Soaking up water from the bucket in the gloves, he then attempts to squeeze the water into the bottle, before acknowledging that it’s “really tough to get in”, and that he would have been “better off with the ramekin”.
At one point, he checks with Alex that he is not allowed to touch the bottle, and Alex confirms that he may not touch nor move either the bottle or the bucket.
Martin persists with his technique, running back and forth between the bucket and the bottle, while losing most of the water in the gloves during each trip, until Alex blows his whistle.
After Alex consoles him that the bottle isn’t empty, Martin again laments the fact that he should have chosen to sue the ice ramekin. After leaving the scene of the task, Martin comes back around the side of the house to share with Alex that his attempt had clocked up 412 steps on his fitness tracker (thus coining the title of the episode).
In the studio, Alex reveals that Martin had gotten 314ml of water into his bottle. After David and Hannah’s disqualifications, this earns him 3 points.
