Arnaud uses a large loop lasso

Arnaud immediately starts spinning his lasso over his head in the classic move, questioning whether it’s actually effective, or if such a thing is just part of the lore of the Old West (though he calls it the “Far West”).

After a few missed throws with a lasso loop that is definitely too small to be of much use, Arnaud takes some time to adjust his lasso so that it is almost entirely loop, with very little rope left over.

After a few more missed throws, Arnaud re-reads the task brief in search of a loophole, and soon comes up with a new idea: asking Antoine to hop whenever the lasso is thrown, in hopes that he will jump into the loop upon landing.

Arnaud actually gets close to lassoing Antoine with this new strategy; however, Antoine lands directly on the lasso, instead of within it.

Ultimately, Arnaud abandons his hopping strategy and goes back to throwing his large-loop lasso, eventually managing to lasso Antoine.

Arnaud lassos Antoine in 8 minutes and 14 seconds, and he earns second place.
