Richardson breaks some equipment

Richardson seems to get the hang of his lasso fairly quickly. As he spins it in a circle above his head, he likens himself to Lucky Luke, about to catch one of the Dalton Brothers.
This seems to be all for show, however, as Richardson opts to underhand throw the lasso towards Antoine instead of flinging it from the classic spinning move. This first throw actually comes quite close to Antoine, prompting him to stick with his method.
After several more missed – but quite close – throws, Richardson sources a step stool to stand on when he throws, in hopes that the extra height will cause his throws to clear Antoine’s head.
At some point during his attempt, Richardson seems to forget that he is meant to stay behind the line on his end of the carpet, as he starts jumping off of the step stool and throwing the lasso at Antoine.
He soon goes to the shed and emerges with a long cardboard tube, on which he drapes the lasso, with the hopes of being able to reach out and simply drop the lasso over Antoine’s head. However, he quickly realises that even the tube will not bridge the distance between himself and Antoine, so he incorporates the tube into his jumping throws – eventually breaking the step stool during a particularly forceful launch.
After taking a running jump for his next throw – and with an assist from Antoine, who bends at the waist – Richardson finally manages to lasso Antoine.
Richardson lassos Antoine in 17 minutes and 34 seconds, but is disqualified for breaking the rules.
