Mel celebrates “opposite day”

In response to the instructions in the task brief, Mel announces that it’s “opposite day”, and then tells Tom Cashman that she loves him.
After Mel throws a frisbee and it flies over the caravan, she says “Oh, it’s harder than it looks”. Mel and Concetta are seen celebrating together in the studio, as Concetta had used essentially the same phrase during her own attempt, and Mel had claimed that it was an old Italian celebratory phrase.
Standing just a short distance away from the white picket fence surrounding the caravan, Mel then manages to throw a frisbee through one of the caravan’s windows, and yells “Oh, bloody hell!” as Tom blows the whistle.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson notes that Mel had stood very close to the caravan, and hadn’t really show any emotion during her final commiseration. Mel argues that she is from Queensland, so saying “bloody hell” in a slightly grumpy manner is as good as it’s going to get.
Mel’s successful throw was made from 5.47 metres away from the caravan, which would have earned her 2 points. However, Tom deems Mel’s commiseration to be the worst, so her distance is halved and she instead earns just 1 point.
