Pete holds the door

Pete begins by putting one on the top of the caravan, and then he immediately starts laughing, realising that Tom Cashman will see it straight away. He claims he will come back for it later.

Pete then throws a cone up into a tree, but after it immediately falls back to the ground, he says “abort that idea”. As he comes back to collect more cones, he sees the one he’d place on the roof of the caravan and laughs again. He then hides a cone in a cupboard.

Picking up two more cones, Pete guesses that Tom will look in the shed straight away, so announces that he is instead going to hide the cones behind the shed. It is then revealed that Tom is actually waiting inside the shed, and that he can clearly hear Pete hiding the cones immediately outside.

Pete is subsequently shown chucking a couple of cones into some long grass, before Tom blows his whistle and leaves the shed.

When Pete is surprised that Tom immediately looks behind the shed, Tom confirms to him that he’d heard him out there. Tom then runs around and spots several cones very easily, including one left out in the open at the side of the house, and the one that’s still on the roof of the caravan.

Tom is then seen running through the wooded area, asking Pete where the cones are. When Pete calls him over in a particular direction, Tom instead heads in the opposite direction. Tom quickly finds several more cones, including one behind a tree by the driveway, and one in the bar.

When Tom then attempts to go through the door to search the rest of the house, Pete holds it shut from the other side. Tom informs Pete that the task is now over, and that he has found eight cones, but Pete doesn’t trust him and tells him to blow his whistle. Tom waits a couple of seconds and then attempts to open the door again, but Pete continues to hold it shut and yells “Blow it!” through the door. Tom counts down from 6 seconds and then says “Good job, you really eluded me with the two” before again trying to open the door. He gets it slightly open, but Pete manages to pull it shut again. Tom then counts down from three and goes “Beep”, in an attempted imitation of his whistle, before again attempting to open the door.

When Tom finally blows his whistle for real, indicating that the task is really over, Pete tells him to hang on while he tries to open the door. After letting Tom through, Pete insists to him that he’d been trying to open the door for him the whole time.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson says that he is surprised Pete’s strategy of throwing the cones wherever he happened to be running hadn’t paid off, and Pete says he wished he’d thought about locking Tom Cashman in a room earlier on. Rhys comments that they liked watching the tasks and seeing what a true little psycho Tom Cashman is.

Tom Cashman found eight of Pete’s 10 cones, so Pete earns 3 points.
