Bjarte’s winter boots

Bjarte pre-empts the reveal of his prize by insisting that he is somewhat of a fashion icon, and that, a few years prior to the show, he’d had his heart set on a particular pair of winter boots.

He shares that his brother-in-law just so happened to have an extra pair of the boots, and had sold them to Bjarte, with the warning that they were likely a size too big.

Bjarte reveals that he’d subsequently worn the boots only once, as he was mocked at work so fiercely by his coworkers Tore and Steinar Sagen that he did not dare to wear them again – until this episode.

Bjarte models the boots on stage, and they are indeed very big on him, prompting Atle to call them “foot apartments”.

Atle awards Bjarte fourth place.
