Else’s sidelocks

Else admits that when she was younger, she had poorly-maintained dreadlocks. When the time came for her to start at a new school in her early 20s, her father had insisted that she clean up her hair or risk social isolation.
Else describes the subsequent trip she took to a hairdresser, who told her that the only thing she could do would be to completely shave Else’s head. When Else begged the hairdresser to leave anything that would let her look feminine, the hairdresser left two locks of hair (which she calls her “rabbi curls”, based on their location on her head), which Else has brought in as her prize.
As Else now has a full head of hair, she is unable to effectively model the look of being bald with only sidelocks, so she enlists Atle as her model.
As Else had not provided pictures of her former hairstyles, Atle awards her last place.
