Aksel makes a siphon

Aksel goes down to the shed in search of a hose, finding one attached to the tap on the side of the house. Once again showing off his climbing skills, or perhaps sticking incredibly close to the rule about not transporting any water through the house, he throws the hose over the balcony, then scales the side of the house instead of just walking upstairs.

Aksel ties the hose to one of the balcony rails to keep it in place, then gathers the buckets from the garden and lines them up on the steps beneath the balcony. He then sucks on the end of the hose, successfully turning it into a siphon, and stands watch as the water fills the buckets, moving the hose to new buckets as necessary.

In his final minute, Aksel sources and then begins to fill a sixth bucket, as he had already managed to fill all five provided for the task (though Atle then rules that this extra bucket will not count towards Aksel’s total).

In the studio, Atle chides Aksel for once again climbing up the side of the house, pointing out that Aksel is pushing 50 (at the time of filming, Aksel was 49) – before admitting that it’s just annoying to the majority of those present that they are unable to still do such youthful things. Aksel affirms his belief that people should never stop climbing trees (or houses, apparently) regardless of age.

It’s revealed that Aksel had moved 65 litres of water, and he wins the task.
