Kate gives Alex a religious experience

After reading the task brief, Kate suggests that a flag meal is a meal made of flags, and then Alex suggests that it could also be “a flag made of meals”.

Kate places a flag featuring Reggie’s face onto the tray, and then adds some food on top, covering his hair. She also adds a slice of lemon and a small American flag.

After pouring Alex a glass of wine, she explains that the main ingredients of her flag meal are Fettuccine, Lemon, Arugula (known as rocket in the UK), and Garlic, the first letters of which spell out ‘FLAG’.

Kate says that Alex had asked for both red and white wine, so she had poured him a white wine with a red floater. Alex says that he calls that a “Rhite wine”.

After sampling the meal, Alex says that the food tastes really nice, and that the wine tastes “like church wine… the blood of Jesus”. Kate then points to the flag picturing Reggie and says “Yes, and the body of Christ, of course.”

Kate earns 3 points.
