Mel uses Tom Cashman to register a weight

Having read the task brief, Mel runs off to fetch some things, and returns to the mat with a surfboard. Standing on the mat, she repeatedly lets the surfboard tip towards the ‘floor’, but misses the scale each time. She then resorts to throwing things at the scale, including a watering can containing sunflowers, an oar, and a ski, but succeeds only in turning the scale off.
As Mel prepares to throw a ball at the scale, Tom Cashman asks her if this is going to create consistent pressure. Mel insists that it will, but then misses the scale with the ball multiple times.
With just 50 seconds left, Mel instructs Tom to go and press on the scale as hard as he can, but he only manages to register a weight of 7.4kg.
After blowing his whistle, Tom asks Mel if she had registered the weight from the mat. When Mel is adamant that she had, using her voice, Tom states that that’s not what registering is. Mel argues she can register to vote from her computer.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson questions Mel’s argument, and she reiterates that you can register for anything on your computer. When Rhys adds that you can even get on the sex register from your laptop, Tom Cashman asks “Is it wrong, when I heard the phrase ‘sex register’, I thought ‘Where do I sign up?’”.
Tom Gleeson allows Mel’s attempt and she earns 2 points.
