Rhys abandons fruit in favour of a tea towel

Rhys begins by stirring water into a bowl of flour using their finger. They then ask Tom to hold out his hand so they can wipe the paste onto him, explaining they no longer want it on their own hands.
Rhys coat a small orange with the mixture, stating “You want surface coverage” before noting that the fruit is quite light. With 3 minutes and 55 seconds remaining, they’ve also covered a banana in the paste. Then, in a sudden change of direction, they declare that they’re going to glue a tea towel instead, telling Tom that they and the banana are “over”.
When Tom asks to be informed when the item is going up, Rhys replies that “You’ll know because there will be a tea towel stuck to the ceiling.” They stick the tea towel up, but it begins to detach almost immediately, landing on the floor after just 15 seconds.
In the studio, when Tom Gleeson questions whether Rhys had given up, they admit that they’d misread the task brief and had believed that they only had one attempt.
Because their item fell 105 seconds short of two minutes, Rhys earns 2 points.
