Episode synopsis

In this episode, the contestants must bring in the most distracting thing to have on your dashboard, glue an item to the ceiling of the caravan, film a meet-cute with the loveliest thing, dramatically destroy a soap Opera House, and strike poses in a box.

Title context

Peter Helliar claims that he always says “Hey, give me some item” to his friends when he wants a low-five (i.e. rather than “Hey, give me some skin”), during studio discussion of his attempt at the ‘Glue an item to the ceiling of the caravan’ task.

Taskmaster Intro

Hello, and welcome to Taskmaster Australia. My name is Tom Gleeson, and I’m the boss here. When I started working for this company 20 years ago, I was just another errand boy in the mail room, licking stamps and kissing arses. I climbed the corporate ladder all the way to the top, and now they kiss my arse before every episode backstage, because I am the Taskmaster. Sitting across from me are five comedians who, after filming their tasks months ago, have only just come out of cryogenic stasis.

Assistant Intro

And as always, I’m joined by my assistant, Tom Cashman. What have you got for me, loser?

Taskmaster's Sign-off

And that brings us to the end of another episode of Taskmaster Australia, the single greatest television show ever devised. But what have we learned, exactly, from this excellently hosted show? We’ve learned that Aaron Chen requires a minimum of 20 monitors to find true love. And we learnt that when Pete’s happy and he wants us to know, he claps his items. But most importantly, we’ve learnt that Aaron Chen is the winner of this episode of Taskmaster!
