Rhys is inspired by Tom Gleeson’s infamous Logies speech

While considering their options for making a racket, Rhys notes that their own voice is quite obnoxious, so they initially plan to record themselves saying something and then play it back loudly through a speaker.
Noting that “This will make me lose the task”, Rhys instead decides to play back the audio from Tom Gleeson’s infamous 2019 Logie Awards acceptance speech while hitting upside-down metal bowls on the table with the tennis racquet. One bowl falls to the floor, but Rhys keeps smashing the rest. At the end of their attempt, they comment “Pretty obnoxious.”
In the studio, when Tom Gleeson says that he doesn’t think the recording of his speech should count as part of the racket, Rhys explains that, just like runners using music to push themselves, Tom’s speech had inspired them to “smash the shit out of that kitchen” and make a racket “just like you did with that stuck-up Australian [TV] industry”. When Tom points out that Rhys is also part of the Australian TV industry, Rhys looks directly into the camera and say “And, if anything, I would love to be more involved.”
Tom Cashman reveals that Rhys’ racket had registered at 86 decibels, which earns them 4 points.
