Rhys enlists the help of Cate Blanchett

Rhys reads the task brief through the megaphone, and then notes that, to them, low-talkers have the most annoying voices.

In the studio, they introduce the recording of their heavenly voice in an almost inaudible whisper. Their video features Cate Blanchett reading out the task brief from a laptop, in a very heavenly voice. Halfway through, though, she breaks character and calls out behind her in her normal voice “What’s his name?”, before continuing the task reading.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson calls it impressive and asks Rhys how they’d managed to get Rebecca Gibney involved. Rhys admits they genuinely don’t know how it happened, but they had taken a chance and emailed Cate after she’d attended one of their performances.

Rhys admits that they want to win this task more than anything, calling it the best thing they’re ever going to do in their whole life.

Despite the star power of Cate Blanchett, Rhys earns second place and is awarded 4 points.
