Mel hibernates in the tent

Having read the task brief, Mel says that she used to be in the closet, but then she came out. She then points at the kennel and declares that she’s not a guinea pig, so she won’t be hiding in there. After checking the depth of the ball pit, she ultimately opts to hide in the tent.
While she is waiting for Tom Cashman to emerge from the shed, the wind blows the ball pit across the grass, spilling its balls and then catching on the wardrobe. Tom incorrectly guesses that Mel is in the kennel before returning to the shed to chastise himself for assuming she’d hide in something “for an animal”.
Mel remains inside the tent throughout her attempt. Tom initially guesses on his return that she is in the closet, but then guesses the tent for his following attempt.
After Mel emerges from her hiding place, Tom asks her why she had removed one of the hiding options—referring to the now-spilled ball pit—but Mel had no idea what had happened, since she’d never left the tent.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson jokes that Mel’s strategy had been to just climb into the tent and take a nap. Mel admits that she was exhausted, and notes that it was very cold. When Tom Cashman asks if she’d heard the ball pit blow away, she admits that she’d had no idea, and had thought that maybe the ball pit being moved was just part of the task.
Mel is found after just three guesses, but earns 4 points.
