Adrian's daring bare-kneed crawl

Before the task brief has been read, Adrian emerges from the caravan holding an old cookery book. He asks if he can keep it, since he collects them. After Alex says he can have it, he reads the title of ‘Basic Recipe 28: Plain pudding mixture’, thus coining the title of the episode.

Back in the studio after the reading of the task, Greg comments on how at home Adrian looked coming out of the caravan, and confesses that he’d quite like to go camping with him.

At the start of his attempt, Adrian emerges from the caravan trouserless. He asks Alex to confirm that the distance marked out for him with a tape measure on the driveway is five metres. He says that he original had it in mind that the distance would be measured out on the grass but, bearing in mind the ‘daring’ requirement of the task, was willing to do it on the concrete.

He then gets down on his bare knees on the driveway, placing the egg in a crack in the concrete. Once given the go-ahead by Alex, he picks the egg up in his mouth, and proceeds to crawl the five metres on his hands and knees, lowering himself to drop it into the eggcup at the end of the tape measure.

Back in the studio, Greg reiterates just how much he cannot wait to go camping with Adrian.

He ultimately wins the task and is awarded five points.
