Heino plays fast and loose with the concept of 'upright'
Heino argues that the task does not state how long the tree needs to be free-standing. As such, he holds up the tree and lets go, stating that the second or two it remains upright should count.
He then leaves the room and comes back with a flagpole base with the flagpole still in it. The pole is too tall for the room. Heino puts the tree in anyway, and tells the cameramen to tilt the camera so the tree looks like it's standing upright.
To help with the illusion, he and Mark pose next to the tree, leaning sideways. Lasse declares Heino disqualified, but in the spirit of Christmas, he still earns one point.
