Noel is both smart and artistic

Here's a brief description of the contestant's attempt. Someone's probably working writing up more detail!

Noel used a paintbrush to roll the red mat up so he could reach the easel. He was also apparently the only contestant to realise that with the front door of the House open he could use the portrait in the entryway as his source material.
