Heino uses semantics
Heino takes out his phone and shows Mark a picture of himself on a beach in Thailand.
He posts this to his Facebook, along with the hashtags ‘#longdistance’ and ‘#5points’.
His strategy relies on the wording of the task brief being “tag et billede” and the fact that, while ‘tag’ means ‘take’ in Danish, it is also a common loan word from English, used when referring to ‘tagging’ a picture on social media.
In the studio, there is a discussion on how to calculate Heino’s distance as, for everyone else, the measurement was simply the physical distance between the camera and the contestant.
Heino argues that the original picture was taken on an old iPhone, which was probably a great distance away by from him by then.
Lasse and Heino haggle to reach a compromise on the distance for the photo, and finally settle at 1,500 kilometres.
Heino therefore wins the task.
