Jesper the chef

Jesper briefly fumbles with the lock before removing it.

After initially trying to just ram the banana into the bottle, he realises that it is frozen, and uses a lighter to warm it up, breaking it into pieces as he does.

Jesper is initially fooled by the clear jelly into thinking that the bottle is empty, as he tips it upside-down and nothing comes out.

However, he quickly realises his mistake, once he starts trying to feed the banana down the neck of the bottle.

He uses some sort of thin straw to loosen the jelly, but it snaps inside of the bottle before much of the jelly is removed.

At one point, it looks as if Mark is about to smash the banana for Jesper, as he is shown wearing a helmet and ear protectors, while holding a hammer.

However, this part of Jesper’s attempt is cut from his footage.

Clearly annoyed by the task – and having already absentmindedly eaten some of the banana by licking it off of his hands – Jesper rhetorically asks Mark what would happen were the rest of the banana to simply ‘vanish’, leaving just what was already in the bottle? Jesper then sets up a portable cooking hob in the lab, flambéing the remaining half of his banana and peel, and eating it.

He describes the taste as “champagne cake with ice cream”.

In the studio, Jesper almost immediately admits defeat, acknowledging that he knows that he is disqualified, thus saving Lasse the trouble of doing so.
