Sofie writes about Unfortunate Ulrik
Sofie’s story is a picture book with no text, about a man named Unfortunate Ulrik.
Ulrik only has a few happy memories, like his childhood dog, and his fiancée Gitte.
However, he is never able to be happy for long.
Ulrik’s dog and both of his parents had died in a car crash, just six hours after Ulrik was gifted the dog, and Gitte had run away with the catering guy on the day of their wedding.
Ulrik is visited by a fairy, who grants him one wish.
Ulrik wishes for unlimited money, which he receives, but his fortunes never change, as money is not what makes someone happy.
Sofie ends her story with the moral: “Live your life so that you’re not embarrassed to sell your parrot to the town gossipmonger.” Lasse awards Sofie third place.
