Jacob uses the penalty box

Jacob touches one of the balls while debating whether he should let the air out of it, which starts his time.

While looking for the air nozzle, he discovers the number six written on the ball.

He declares that in ice hockey, time is counted down, rather than up, so the correct order for the balls must be from six to one.

He later admits, in the studio, that he isn’t good on skates, so wanted to get off of the ice as soon as possible, and happened to find the sixth ball first.

After removing the sixth ball, Jacob moves the remaining five to the edge of the rink, and then places them in the penalty box in descending order, to ensure they remain out of the rink.

Jacob then celebrates by very slowly body-checking Mark against the wall of the penalty box.

Lasse accepts Jacob’s descending order.

Jacob therefore clears the rink in 4 minutes and 52 seconds, and earns third place.
