Sam runs out the clock

Sam takes the can with him from the living room and into the lab.

His hand only lightly grazes the can pyramid, and so he avoids knocking any of it down.

After losing some time trying to find the top of the pyramid (as he’s “never felt such high things”), Sam carefully places the can from the living room on top of the pyramid without causing any cans to fall.

Sam tells Alex to stop the clock, but Alex refuses, so Sam says that he’s just going to lie down and wait out the time. He does exactly that, and wins the task.
