Karen’s government grant
Karen says she has won NZ$10,000 after entering a competition to make a children’s song and music video.
It is then revealed that what she’d actually done was make a successful application for funding from the NZ government agency NZ On Air, to make a music video for a song by Fun & Funner, a band she’s in which makes music for kids.
Karen attempts to argue that she’s actually winning the NZ$10,000 because she was going to make the video for free anyway.
However, Dai points out that saying such a thing might mean that she doesn’t actually receive the funding.
She earns 3 points.
