Stian attempts to redefine the task

Stian stares into the camera to prove that he is not peeking at the deck, and counts out every card, face-down.

Confirming that it is a full deck of 52 cards, he turns to Olli and declares that he has just drawn 52 red cards, because the backs of all of the cards are red.

When Olli says that he will start to turn the cards over, to count Stian’s total, Stian insists that Olli needs to leave the cards face-down and count his total as 52 red cards.

In the studio, Atle challenges Stian’s interpretation of ‘red cards’.

Ultimately, Stian – who does not yet know that all the cards are in the red suits – stands firm and says that he’ll accept his draw of all 52 cards, whether Atle chooses to accept his interpretation or not.

Stian earns joint first place.
